Teenage Market – Salt and Tar Fringe Festival

Salt and Tar Fringe: A Festival of Comedy, Music and Arts

Taking place along Bootle’s canal side from 23rd – 26th May 2025, Salt and Tar Fringe is a brand new event, grown out of the previous Comedy Weekenders held at the venue. As well as some fantastic headline comedy performances, we will be hosting a range of family friendly activities, events and workshops. Expect to see everything from live music to street theatre, book readings to beer tasting, wellness activities to daytime raves and everything in between!

On Monday 26th May 2025 the indoor entertainment tent at Salt and Tar will be transformed in to a market place for a Teenage Market takeover from 12pm-4pm. This is a free opportunity for any young person aged 10 - 25 years old to take on a market place stall and sell their creative products or trial new business ideas. As well as a creative retail offer, there is also opportunity for performance applications should a young band, dancer, musician, comedian wish to perform on the day.

- No on site parking is available, there will be a drop off bay only.
- A trestle table and two chairs will be provided per stall.
- Refreshments and food will be available to purchase on site at Salt and Tar from the food and drink village.
- The marketplace coincides with Bootle International Festival which is a free community festival taking place in the food and drink festival village on this day.
- Traders are responsible for their own items and personal.
