Rochdale Teenage Market
The Teenage Market returns to Rochdale!Our first market of 2025 will take place indoors in the ground floor of Number One Riverside in the centre of Rochdale.
A great opportunity for young people to turn your hobbies in to cash by hosting a stall. It is free to take part. You can sell anything - no idea is a bad one. We are here to help guide you on how to get the best from your stall. Perhaps you handmake jewellery or crochet squishies. Maybe you're an artist and paint beautiful portraits or an excellent chef and bake tasty cakes. Or perhaps you are an excellent shopper and search for vintage records and books or second hand clothes that you then resell online - why not bring your online business in to the real world and meet your customers in person!
Maybe you are already selling your creations and want some advice on how to turn it into a profitable business? We can help introduce you to experts who can offer tips and tricks in growing your business.
Or do you love to perform by singing, reciting poetry, acting or dancing? We are also on the look out for performers to entertain audiences at the market.

How to apply?
Simply make a trader profile or performer profile on this website. If you want a stall, upload plenty of photographs of what you will be selling and and give us a clear description of the products. Make sure to also include which payment methods you will accept. If you want to perform, upload photographs of you performing, and describe your act, e.g. what kind of music you play. Then select this event and send in your application today.
Deadline for applications are Monday 24th March 2025.
It may take us a little time to get back to everyone, so if you are not accepted straight away do not worry. We may email you with some follow up questions too so make sure to keep checking your email inbox.
Who can get involved?
By young people, we mean anyone aged between 13 – 25 years old. Anyone under the age of 18 will need to be supervised by a carer or guardian.
We want to prioritise anyone from the Rochdale borough but if you live in Greater Manchester or the North West of England you can still apply.
The opportunity is open to all levels of experience. If you have never done a market before we will support you with how to set up a stall, and all the other logistics around becoming a market trader or performer.
