Rochdale Teenage Market
The Teenage Market returns to Rochdale.Our first market of 2026 will be taking place indoors in the grand entrance of the Rochdale Town Hall during the Youth Arts Festival.
A great opportunity for young people to turn your hobbies in to cash by hosting a stall. It is free to take part.
You can sell anything - no idea is a bad one. Items which are handmade by you sell the best. Here are some examples of stalls from previous markets to give you a flavour of what works well:
- Crochet and knitted textiles
- Artwork - paintings and photography
- Cards
- 3D Printed toys
- Jewellery
- Candles and wax melts
- Hair accessories
- Second hand clothing
- Second hand books
We are here to help guide you on how to get the best from your stall. Maybe you are already selling your creations and want some advice on how to turn it into a profitable business? We can help introduce you to experts who can offer tips and tricks in growing your business.
We will be running in person workshops to support stallholders on the lead up to the market. More information to follow.

How to apply?
Simply make a trader profile or performer profile on this website. If you want a stall, upload plenty of photographs of what you will be selling and and give us a clear description of the products. Make sure to also include which payment methods you will accept.
Deadline for applications are Monday 16th March 2026.
We may email you with some follow up questions too so make sure to keep checking your email inbox. It may take us a little time to get back to everyone, so if you are not accepted straight away do not worry. All applicants will have heard back from us no later than Monday 23rd March 2026.
Who can get involved?
By young people, we mean anyone aged between 13 – 25 years old. Anyone under the age of 18 will need to be supervised by a carer or guardian.
We want to prioritise anyone from the Rochdale borough but if you live in Greater Manchester or the North West of England you can still apply.
The opportunity is open to all levels of experience. If you have never done a market before we will support you with how to set up a stall, and all the other logistics around becoming a market trader.
Please note for this market we are unable to accept applications from stallholders selling consumable items for example home baked goods or repackaged sweets.
Musical performances at the Youth Arts Festival will be taking place upstairs in the Grand Hall of Rochdale Town Hall at the same time as the Teenage Market. The concert is being organised by the Rochdale Music Service. If you are a musician and would like to perform we do still want to hear from you. We will be assessing all applications from performers to see if they are suitable to pass on to the Music Service.
