In recent years Lincoln has developed into a thriving cultural hotspot – a heady mixture of old and new, historic and contemporary, traditional and cutting edge. The county town of Lincolnshire, it is probably most famous for it’s Cathedral – at one point the tallest building in the world, Castle, and Roman beginnings.

The shopping scene goes from strength to strength, with a pedestrianised High Street populated by all the big names (Primark, River Island, H&M, and so on); and more boutique offerings up Steep Hill in the beautiful Bailgate area. There are regular street markets such as Farmer’s markets, Arts & Crafts, and not forgetting the world-renowned Christmas Market.
